Lucy and us

Privacy policy

Last updated: July 2026

1. Controller

The controller for the data processing on this website is Gruepi GmbH, Rennekamp 19, 59494 Soest, Germany, email: hello@lucyandus.de.

2. Principle: as little data as possible

This website works without cookies, without tracking, without analytics or advertising services and without social-media plugins. We only process the data technically required to run the site and the features you actively use (waitlist, voting).

3. Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA). When the site is accessed, the server briefly processes technically necessary access data (including IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) in log files to ensure delivery and security.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

As Vercel is based in the USA, data may be transferred to the USA on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 44 et seq. GDPR); a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel.

4. Waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we store your email address solely to inform you about the product launch and the planned campaign.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future – via the unsubscribe link in every message or informally by email to hello@lucyandus.de. After withdrawal we delete your address.

5. Community voting

Voting works without an account and without any personal data; only anonymous vote counts are stored. To prevent multiple votes, your IP address is processed only briefly in memory and is not stored permanently.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protection against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Fonts

The fonts used are hosted locally on our server and delivered from there. There is no connection to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts), and no data is transferred to third parties.

7. Your rights

You have the right at any time to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent at any time.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.

8. Status of this policy

The current version published on this page applies. We update it whenever features or legal requirements change.
